Spectacular antique Himalayan carnelian bead displaying excellent patina and some unusual age pitting. This bead has gorgeous fiery coloring and depth, with some faint banding. The wear patterns around the holes indicate this bead has been most likely worn as adornment. These were actually obtained through trade with another collector who maintained they are Tibetan in origin however we are unable to personally verify that beyond being of Himalayan origins in general.

Measurements: 21.5mm x 11mm

The hole is somewhat difficult to measure with accuracy as it varies on either side because of the antique drilling methods used to make the hole. Something under 1mm could fit through it with ease.
