Description
Gorgeous antiqued Tibetan gau (locket) handwrought from polished blackened copper. The gau is double-sided and opens up to house whatever keepsakes you like. One side of the gau displays the Tibetan "Om" symbol and on the other side is the kalachakra symbol, both in brass that has been finished to look more like an antique bronze. The most interesting part of this pendant is its relic-like aesthetic.
The kalachakra symbol is one of the most complex and all encompassing symbols. It is commonly known as "the all powerful ten" as it consists of Lantsa characters that are elaborately arranged to represent many things ranging from the cosmos/astrology to the elements to subtle energy systems of the individual's mind. Proudly handmade in Nepal and is artisanal Fair Trade jewelry.
