Antique Indian carnelian bead displaying nice patina and some age pitting. Some surface fissures are present further indicating age. The bead has some very faint geometric banding, and the wear patterns around the holes indicate this bead was probably worn as adornment. These were actually obtained through trade with another collector and are most likely Indian in origin.
Measurements: 23mm x 12mm
The hole is somewhat difficult to measure with accuracy as it varies on either side because of the antique drilling methods used to make the hole. Something under 1mm could fit through it with ease.
