Gorgeous mala beads handcrafted from high quality Nepalese bodhi seed that has been meticulously tooled, shaped and polished. The beeds also display the very desirable "phoenix eye" pattern and have a rich dark brown color.

These are old stock malas that were made and bought before the Chinese started purchasing the Nepalese bodhi groves. Bodhi seed of this quality, and bodhi seed in general, is rapidly becoming more more scarce to find in almost any size, and is continuing to increase in price quickly. We were very fortunate to come across a small treasure trove of these special malas. Bodhi seed mala beads are highly sought after by collectors. Made in Nepal and a Fair Trade mala.
