Extraordinary, hand-carved tridacna shell mala beads. Every bead is individually carved by hand with the Tibetan "Om Mani Padme Hum" mantra and gives them an interesting relief texture. The mantra can actually be felt with the fingertips and will not wear off through use since it is a physical part of the bead. The beads also feature a rare abacus shape typically not seen in this kind of mala. This piece is a wonderful reflection of the patience and skill of the Nepalese artisans who crafted it. Fair Trade.
